ETTER OUTLINING YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
You must attach a letter to the request form outlining how your circumstances:

changed on or after the Census date

prevented you from completing your studies, and

were beyond your control.
DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE
In addition to attaching a letter, you must provide documentary evidence:
Special circumstance on medical grounds
If requesting special circumstance on medical grounds, you must supply a medical certificate on official letterhead from your family doctor, therapist, hospital or other medical provider indicating the nature of your illness, when it occurred and the duration of the illness.
Special circumstance due to family or personal reasons
If requesting special circumstance due to family or personal reasons, you are required to supply documentation from, for example, a family doctor or counsellor, to substantiate your claim or proof of the death of the family member or close friend.
Special circumstance due to employment related reasons
You are required to supply a letter from your employer on company letterhead to substantiate your claims.
Failure to provide the required evidence will result in your application being rejected.
